Just how do you acquire Global Points in Battlefield 2?
Some of the ways to collect points are obvious and others are less so.
- Combat Score
- Team Score
- Command Score
The first way to get points is the traditional way we all love to collect them, either taking flags or killing the enemy.
You now also have some new support classes who also get their own brand of points for healing, helping, repairing, or destroying. (These new support classes are a key component of the game and should be included in any squad.)
In addition there are points given for following and issuing commands (I think, still not sure on this one), as well as you can get assist points for all of the above if you are in a squad or a squad leader. As commander your job is to direct the battle with commands
It’s the combined total of all of the points you have that will give you your Global Score. Your Global score is the overall indicator of your skill or rank, and is the only think we can track right now to show our progress to the next rank.
Combining some of the information I have located online I have made a table showing how you increase your rank from Private to Sergeant Major of the Corps!
The main thing you need is the Global points, that’s no secret, but what are the modifiers and how do we get them? I''m searching the web over and still have not found all the information I need. I have to find out what in addition to the Global score is required to achieve rank in Battlefield 2.
